SparkCareers Terms and Conditions
B2C: SparkCareers, for job seekers
Effective: 7 May 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and RisePoint Careers Corp. ("RisePoint," "we," "us") for your use of SparkCareers at https://spark.risepointcareers.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are for job seekers. Organizations that use Spark Enterprise to hire are covered by the Spark Enterprise Terms.
1. Who can use SparkCareers
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement. You may have one personal account. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. Tell us straight away at support@risepointcareers.com if you think someone else has used it.
2. What SparkCareers does
SparkCareers helps you look for work. It shows jobs from many sources, scores how well you match them, reviews and tailors your CV, tracks your applications, and, with Autopilot, finds jobs and prepares documents for you to check.
- We are not an employer or a recruitment agency. Jobs come from employers and job sites we do not control. We do not promise that a job is still open, that its details are accurate, or that you will get an interview or an offer.
- Match scores are estimates. They compare your CV with the job advert. Employers do not see them and they are not a decision about you.
- Autopilot never applies for you. It finds matching jobs and prepares tailored documents. You decide whether and where to apply.
- AI-written content is a suggestion. CV rewrites and tailored resumes are produced with AI and may contain mistakes or suggestions marked for you to check. You are responsible for making sure anything you send to an employer is true and accurate.
3. Recruiters can find you
Your profile is visible to recruiters using Spark Enterprise by default. They can see your name, email address, phone number, location, job title, skills and CV, and may contact you about jobs. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, Preferences, Talent visibility. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
4. Your content
You own your CVs, profile and anything else you upload ("Your Content"). You give us permission to store, copy, process and display Your Content only to run the Service for you. This includes reading your CV, sending work details (never your personal details) to our AI providers, and showing your profile to recruiters as described in section 3 and the Privacy Policy.
You confirm that Your Content is yours to share, is accurate, and does not break the law or anyone else's rights. Do not upload other people's personal information except referees who have agreed to be named.
5. Free plan, Premium and trials
- Free plan: some features are free, with limits shown in the Service.
- Free trial: new accounts can try Premium once, free, for 24 hours. No card is needed and the trial ends on its own.
- Referral rewards: Premium time earned through referrals ends on its own at the end of the period shown.
- Premium: prices and billing periods are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, in your local currency where available. Payments are handled by Stripe or Paystack. Premium renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in Billing. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give refunds. See our Cancellation Policy.
- Price changes: we will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
6. Using the Service fairly
You must not:
- give false information about yourself, or pretend to be someone else;
- copy, scrape or resell jobs or other content from the Service;
- use bots or scripts to use the Service, except the features we provide;
- try to break, overload or get around the Service's security or limits;
- upload viruses or harmful files; or
- use the Service to break the law or harass anyone.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Unless there is an urgent security or legal risk, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
7. Our Service
The Service, its software, design and the SparkCareers name belong to RisePoint or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them except to use the Service. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely.
We may change, add or remove features.
8. Other services
The Service links to job adverts and employer sites, and uses other companies' services, such as Stripe, Paystack, Google and LinkedIn sign-in, and the providers on our Service Providers page. Their own terms apply to them and we are not responsible for them. When you apply for a job on an employer's site, your application is between you and that employer.
9. No guarantees
We work hard to keep SparkCareers accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, that job information is complete or correct, or that AI output is accurate. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under consumer protection law.
10. Our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, RisePoint is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes a lost job opportunity, lost earnings, lost data, and decisions you or an employer make based on the Service or its AI output.
11. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Security, Delete account. Deleting your account cancels any Premium plan at the end of its current period and deletes your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we stop offering the Service.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For important changes we will email you and show a notice in the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then. If you keep using the Service after that date, the new Terms apply.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts in Calgary, Alberta. If you live elsewhere, you keep any right under your local law to bring a claim in your own courts and to the protection of your local consumer law.
14. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Cancellation Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over the Service; you may not transfer your account.
